Shirley Cruz is a New York City-based photographer and director working across fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and commercial projects.
Her work is rooted in character, movement, and visual storytelling, blending a cinematic eye with an instinct for images that feel intimate, spontaneous, and lived-in. Influenced by her background in film, music, and fashion, Shirley is drawn to strong personalities, distinctive environments, and the moments that happen between the pose.
Her clients include Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, HOKA, Danessa Myricks Beauty, Nordstrom, Amazon, Luminous Diamonds, and Outdoor Voices. Her work has been recognized by the Clio Awards and The Luupe.
A first-generation New Yorker, Shirley draws from the energy, diversity, and visual language of the city she calls home. She is also the co-founder of Extra Syrup, a New York City-based creative production team producing photography and motion for brands, agencies, and artists.
